How exciting! Welcome to the first ever blog from Mr. Shaw's Music Classroom. Setting the blog up was effortless and I am glad to see that this is a Google product as everything that Google maintains is usually solid and easy to use. Check back soon for blog entry #2. Thanks
Jason
Hi Jason,
ReplyDeleteWhat were your experiences in setting up you first blog?
Regards,
Shawnette
Hi Jason,
ReplyDeleteAs a music teacher what do you plan to use the blog for?
Shawnette,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed how simple the set up was for the blog. Usually, Google puts out great products that are powerful and simple at the same time. The only problem I have had so far was trying to post this in IE. I switched to Google Chrome (of course) and had no problem.
Beena,
ReplyDeleteIn elementary school, it is a challenge to use a blog actively in the classroom. It is also a challenge in music because I only see the children for a half hour at a time. Also, our county blocks blogs on the server. I was also asked to remove my blog section of my classroom website. But, if I could use it, I would use it as a way to communicate with the parents and community about important music events such as concerts and field trips. In the classroom, I could use a blog for students to share their favorite music and why. I would like to try this and keep it going through the years to see how music interests evolve. Of course, many will choose music that is popular (ie Justin Bieber)but occasionally you get students that enjoy different styles of music. I feel like this would be interesting to view after time goes on.
